Calling All Content Creators!
Our debut game, Hawthorn, is a charming co-op sandbox RPG village sim—think of it as an intimate Skyrim sandbox meets Stardew Valley, with a dash of RimWorld. The world of Hawthorn is inspired by Victorian-era European fairytales and the spirit of 80s and 90s anthropomorphic animals adventure stories.

We are an indie team made up of a small group of developers with experience on franchises like The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Starfield, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, League of Legends, The Last of Us, Uncharted, Ultima Online and more. We left AAA to focus on immersive co-op sandbox experiences that connect people and foster relationships.

When we announced Hawthorn, it amazingly went viral and received overwhelming excitement and support from the community. It was covered by several dozen gaming and non-gaming media outlets. Many creators who posted content about Hawthorn saw significant organic traffic on their social accounts (amounted to 15-20 million views across the dozen or so posts that we saw) and had high levels of engagement. In some cases it was as high as 16.7% engagement. We are thrilled that people are excited about the game and we hope to continue to build a compelling game along side our passionate community.
We do not take this initial success for granted and recognize that it’s difficult to stand out in such a crowded market. It’s even harder when we don’t have a marketing budget since are bootstrapping this game with our personal savings. This is our passion project and we have always felt like we are making something unique with Hawthorn and want the ability to maintain our creative vision. It’s a relief that millions of others are interested in a world like this as well. We want to bring back the kind of nostalgic joy and wonder we all had as kids!
We’re in the early stages of development and we are building everything from the ground up, giving us the freedom to pursue our creative vision and explore unique ideas. We are learning a lot and ask for your patience as we figure everything out on the community and communications side. We aren’t marketing professionals, but we know how to make games. We know that Hawthorn will start small, allowing us to focus on building a solid foundation for this charming sandbox, but don’t let that fool you, we have big ambitions to expand this world and we’d love to do it with your input!
We’re committed to building this game and building relationships with content creators and our players to create an ecosystem where we can all benefit from the game. We are looking for creators who want to be a part of something special from the very beginning. You can be some of the first creators giving feedback on development and growing our communities to new heights together.
